roud:just ring them up and see what they say. but as b4 they probably wont be able to offer you anything untill your deal runs out.

Just be careful of the dates. I contacted them in Nov via the cancellation dept a few days before the month cancelation notice period ( I would prob have canc if no new deal was forthcoming) & thats when I negotiated the new 6 month deal. I e mailed them the other day to confirm when the six month ran out & it appears they started the new 6 month deal from the date I spoke to them & not from the end date of the initial years half price deal ie over a month early.
Suppose I should have argued the toss with them when I had worked it out, but you can never seem to win with sky, im sure they will have had something in the small print somewhere. :Fish:

Hi all, thought I would let you all know this offer is still around for those who are waiting for there deal to end.
I have just finished my 12months ½ price deal, I phoned them just after my deal ended, they have offered me the 6 months ½ price rental (+HD on top).
There is no confirmation or reference number the details are entered on your account at there end, for my personnel information I got them to confirm the next DD payment (which includes a refund as the offer is started the day my last deal ended) then what the payments will be up to and including the date the new offer ends.
For the worriers just make a note in outlook (or what ever you use), on that date to give you another reminder, in the note field jot down your deal and add the persons name you spoke to, with the date and time of your conversation, check your next payment then if you have any problems phone them back up, ALL calls are recorded (for training purposes of course).

It increased for 12months for a short while looks like its back to 6months either even with HD on top I think its still to much given the number of repeats, its just annoying.
I called today and got the same deal for six months. he told me to ring back in the second week of August to get another deal.

it worked out i was paying a tad over 13 quid a month last year with free install & box
this year they wanted 23.50 a month + extra for HD with existing equipment
works out treble what it cost last year without the equipment so in reality it is not a deal in my eyes

yeah mate it was the day after. it ran out on the 29th march and they told me to call the day after. the 30th and they gave me 6 months extension , everything is the same. 28 per month
Okay done my 1 year discount & finished my additional 6 months half price (hd on top) for the whole package yesterday. Rang up today to see what was available. Went through to "thinking of leaving" dept via the freephone number & asked if any more offers were available. Straight away I was offered a further months 6 with 25% off & an immediate credit of £50 onto my account. Just to advise that this deal is not subject to taking the whole package (& remove hd if you wish) as I reduced mine to save money & still got it.

Thought i'd let people know I cancelled my sky completely on the day the 12 month offer run out and have just been sent a letter with an offer of a further 12 months half price if I come back (about 2/3 months since I have cancelled)

I just cancelled mine. I was paying £51 for HD docs and sport and he offered it to me for £36

Our 6 Months half price deal has just ran out,
Got the good lady to ring up and see if there was any deals to be had?
(she was forewarned to proceed to disconnections if need be to get a better deal!)
They said sorry your not applicable for any special offers having just had 6 months half price.
so my good lady asked to be put through to cancellations.
The chap gave her the disconnections date then went onto asking why she wished to leave, gave him a load of flannel cannot afford it at this moment in time, he said would it help if you had another half price offer for a further 6 months, yes yes yes lol!
Keeps the missus happy :Clap:
we only use our sky + box for the series link & recording feature along with taking it away in our tourer in the summer otherwise i wouldn't bother with it

Think you're supposed to phone 1 month before your deal ends or you could end up paying for a month at the full price as you're supposed to give a months notice.
I phoned today (originally 12 months deal had been extended by 6 months 1/2 price) & was told there was no deal available for me. I've reduced my sub now, took movies, sports & HD away.
Hopefully they'll phone or email with a deal. If not I'll give VM a ring after the holidays & see what they've got.

I rang up today and got my half price offer extended by 6 months so that takes me up until the end of November .
They asked me why I wanted to cancel and I explained my 12 months half price was coming to an end soon and that I couldnt afford the full price.
Cancellations offered the extension straight away .:Clap:
