I have to assume that you have a financial interest in the box failing as you are as rabidly against it as satwiz is a rabid supporter of it and your both boring me.

Don't know about others but i'm interested in if the box is going to be as good as the hype and to be reminded for the umpteenth time that your time and date are wrong is boring.

strange that it comes from you that dont even have 1!I have it and i can write my opinion about it,if you dont like so dont read it.And read all post concerning my view about the box before you jump on the wagon.As i stated before ,it does some basic things that many of those 100 euros reciever does.

And if you want you can buy my box and then you can write something about a box that you own! it will cost 249+100£ p&p(it weights 2.6kg).And i am loosing my faith in this box, and since i am a owner of it i have right to have this opinion.

Lip sync never fixed and we do not know when also many more to fix.
I can list many bugs -blue screens-reboot from most of Linux boxes.
tm started few month ago over 25 images released
few of you downing it repeating same boring conversation that have been repeated 100s of time.

as soon as someone who is happy with tm800 you are connecting to tm
is this a sign of weakness that you might not have one or can not afford to buy one or not man enough to hold on until is finished which will be few weeks away.

The problem here is you are attacking people who own and are happy with their TM800. If someone

dissagrees​

with you or suggests an alternative route then you start getting aggressive and start firing off insults.

It's not very professional mate and the more you do it, the more respect you loose and the more people are turned away from

as per my last post I really like this box the best hardware ever for a Linux box.

What you call 'rubbishing', I would call 'discussing it's flaws with an aim to improve', otherwise known as feedback.

The TM800 is not exempt from public scrutiny, it along with every other box on the market will be judged by the public, there is nothing anyone can do about it.

It's not wrong in my opinion.

He is new to Linux boxes, uncertain which way to turn and looking for UNBIASED opinions.

Should he be directed to a machine which is still a Work in Progress, with many basic features still not functioning, not knowing if the problems he is encountering are his own doing or due to incomplete software, or should he be directed to a much cheaper, much more reliable and much better supported box which once he finds his footing he can sell on and perhaps buy a TM800?

Obviously I don't. But looking at the current situation, most of the fixes announced aren't fixes at all, a big announcement that the 15th July image would fix Wifi and PVR, no it didn't, Wifi still doesn't work and the PVR is a total joke.

1 step forward 2 steps back springs to mind.

Just an opinion mate.

This is the UK, we are entitled to them.

You should realise that I own a TM800 and despite it's teething problems I really enjoy using the box. I'm not here to hamper or promote sales. I have no affiliation with anyone. I'm just a simple Joe Blogs who has spent £250 on a satellite receiver and I have every right to moan about things and advise people (whether rightly or wrong) on their buying options.

I look forward to the next image.

Its pointless to carry on repeating what we all did in many post in many forums good or bad,
until this image gets ready
Lots of speculations which did not serve anything's except repeats and repeats,

sources I contact I know it will take 3 or 4 weeks to the finish of this image for miner functions.
wifi does not bother me i use cat 5 cable.
recording is ok.will not rewind forward no problem for me at this moment
other functions I will wait {speculations has been a waste of time till now and have not served anything we all talk and talk until its ready}
carrying on as it is just a waste

It's perfectly valid that potential buyers should be told what currently works and currently what doesnt work before making a purchase on ANY make/model of reciever..thats exactly why people visit forums like this...for a "range" of opinions good or bad...

This "Fanboyism" generally is not good for anyone, I dont see any issues in the advice given it's perfectly valid...for a newcomer there is no better supported, cheaper and more stable device as in intro than a DM500 clone.

Regardless of whether it's a Dream, Spiderbox, TM, VU, AZBox etc...it's only right to give people the complete picture of what the box can and cant do...

Satwiz, Regardless of whatever your sources sayor doent say or what features you use/dont use .. at this current point it's a fact that the TM800 is work in progress and the majority of features DO NOT work or DO NOT properly.. It's good that this is pointed out to any potential buyers..

Same as in the Dream forum, you'll find lots of posts saying tuners in Clone Dream 800HD's have gliching problems...same as how Spiderbox forum reports CCCAM issues and GIFT problems...etc etc

i can see your point satwiz but wouldnt it be better for technomate to say we are working on a new image at the present time and hope to have most if not all features working we would have like to have the image finished but we are still experiancing some problems and will have the image out ASAP

what you need to point out to potencial buyers is the box when finaly finished will be far supirior to most boxes out now so be patient and please wait till the image is finished

Nobody is rubbishing the box but it does have problems, and all the guys on here are doing is pointing out those problems.
So you jumping in and telling everyone an image is going to ready in 2 or 3 weeks and "we are all going to be laughing at you " just gets everyone p***ed off.
Let the guys complain about what is wrong with the box , Then it might get sorted sooner rather than later.
Thanks to you i certainly WONT be buying one of these.
Criticise the Vu+duo all you want mate. That means it will get sorted all the sooner

At the end of the day you do your own research and make up your own mind as to which box to buy.

You can take peoples opinion on board or disregard them.

This thread should be about the anticipation of the new image.
We should all be installing (when released) and testing it (as a hobby) for TM.
We should be feeding back any information we gather to TM and the image developers.

At the end of the TM seem a decent, fair company. If you were't happy with the box I am sure they would give you your money back.
