Anyone get a reply from Technomate yet?

Ive just got in from Technomate in North London myself spoke to 2 guys and they couldent put themselfs out enough
they ahd a couple of phonecalls while I was there about returns (dunno what box) but they said they would incure all costs (cant say fairer than that tbh)

exchanged box,fitted wifi while I was there and had a long chat with the MD there

he said wifi issue should be sorted early part of next week and HDD recording not long after that,I could tell by the way he was talking he is hoping for a working image fefore the end of the month

he also showed me in depth the differences between the much talked about vu+ solo and the TM800,Ill try and do a write up on that later for you :) I was very supprised what he was telling me tbh

reply was tm will pay maximum £7 for returns
but sending back no charge.
ask why not collecting
answer was in many cses customers did not return and did not hand over to delivery people.
retailers or distributors are exempt
 
i cannot agree more with the comments about the staff at tm head office. i went in today with my tm800hd and receipt for purchase on 28/5/10. i mentioned the comments on the forum and with no more said i was handed a new tm800hd. they even installed latest update and fitted an internal hard drive without so much as a simple "no problem".

those who dont have the tm800hd cant really comment on the workings of the machine as they don't have one. those that do have bought the box knowing it is not a finished article and functions will not all be working and will also expect the odd problem.

i am informed the the full beta software will be made public although you can expect crashing and other issues given its state of completion. further updates should also be out soon with the wifi being given priority.

the tm outfit are quality go into there offices if you can and see the help and support they will give you top marks to them from me.
