what do u all think lol
My co–worker is the secretary of one of United's bigger supporters groups and he's been white as a sheet this afternoon after learning about a monumental situation developing at Old Trafford.
It seems that the club have been sounding out the supporters groups about the implications of Ronaldo's transfer to Madrid. As has been mentioned today, it looks like the Glazers have accepted a cash offer, behind Fergie's back, of £65 million for the player and a 10 percent merchandising cut for two years. The figure is lower than expected due to the player's unwillingness to play for United next year.
The situation, however, is compounded by the fact that Fergie, Queiroz and several other key back room staff have decided to quit the club in protest. The Glazers are now threatening to sue the staff which is making the situation much worse.
The supporters groups are being sounded out about preventing supporter demonstrations at the ground. The players are extremely unsettled by these developments and the club are now desperately trying to prevent a general player strike.
The Glazers are keen to sell their main asset now as the pound and dollar could lose even more value against the euro in the next year. They feel Ferguson has too much influence over their investment so are not sorry to see him go either.
This probably will not be the only rumour like this today and there is a chance that the story will break tomorrow or Thursday. I am posting to this site as the club have threatened to break off ties with supporters groups that break the story before the official announcement.
I cannot believe that our club is facing such a bleak situation. I hope it all works out okay, even if there is no way back for Fergie now.
Come on you Reds. United 'till I die. <<<< that not me btw
