what do u all think lol

My co–worker is the secretary of one of United's bigger supporters groups and he's been white as a sheet this afternoon after learning about a monumental situation developing at Old Trafford.

It seems that the club have been sounding out the supporters groups about the implications of Ronaldo's transfer to Madrid. As has been mentioned today, it looks like the Glazers have accepted a cash offer, behind Fergie's back, of £65 million for the player and a 10 percent merchandising cut for two years. The figure is lower than expected due to the player's unwillingness to play for United next year.

The situation, however, is compounded by the fact that Fergie, Queiroz and several other key back room staff have decided to quit the club in protest. The Glazers are now threatening to sue the staff which is making the situation much worse.

The supporters groups are being sounded out about preventing supporter demonstrations at the ground. The players are extremely unsettled by these developments and the club are now desperately trying to prevent a general player strike.

The Glazers are keen to sell their main asset now as the pound and dollar could lose even more value against the euro in the next year. They feel Ferguson has too much influence over their investment so are not sorry to see him go either.

This probably will not be the only rumour like this today and there is a chance that the story will break tomorrow or Thursday. I am posting to this site as the club have threatened to break off ties with supporters groups that break the story before the official announcement.

I cannot believe that our club is facing such a bleak situation. I hope it all works out okay, even if there is no way back for Fergie now.

Come on you Reds. United 'till I die. <<<< that not me btw

off same site

My Dad is a scout for Man United and has been working with them for over 10 years now. I am not going to mention his name as he would kill me for telling you this but last night he said he was worried over his job as the manager may be walking out due to some internal problems.

No I do not know if it has anything to do with the Glazers selling Ronaldo or anything like that. I am not saying that, all I am saying is that Fergie and some of his staff may be gone very very soon (before next season) and yes if that did happen I would imagine that a few players would become reachable as Fergie would not be there anymore.

Man United exodus? Let's hope not I hope they sort it out and Keep Fergie: ( Plus my dads job of course)

Is this news true, or is it because it's coming from a scouser fan who just want's the utd fans to feel unsettled and uncertain about the situation.

If Ronaldo goes, without Fergie's consent, Fergie's going to end up leaving, which will unsettle the club and damage utd's rep in my opinion.

Half of this Ronaldo crap is all paper talk and gossip anyway.

Update from the site:

Man United

A deal is being worked out between Man United, Ronaldo, Real, Nike and Adidas. Ronaldo will be staying on an improved contract with massive endorsments from Nike. Real will have first refusal next season, where a deal is being worked out with massive endorsments from adidas. Fergie will step down if Man United win the league next season letting Ronaldo go, if they do not win it he will step down the season after.
Poss Signings are:
Carlos Kameni – Goal Keeper – Espanyol – £6 million
Dimitar Berbatov – ST – Tottenham – £29 million
Joao Moutinho – Sporting – £19 million
Sergio Ramos – Real – £29 million
Karim Benzema – Lyon – £25 million
And

MUFC Rumours
Great source from inside club

If Ronaldo goes expect Robinho, Sneijder and Ramos + some cash as United will hold Real Madrid to ransom

If ronald stays expect bids for benzema £23 million + Saha and either Alves or Richards £22 mill

Silvestre on way out for £3–4 mill
Fletcher £5–7 million depending on who bids
