I don't get down south very often.

But as you have offered yourself as an honest Man u fan, I would like to ask you one question.

Do you really think that Man U deserved to win their last 2 Champion League Trophies?

Ehh if you pick questions like that above what kind of answer do you expect!

I don,t see your point means anything. If you had to play according to your comments,what would be the point.The winners may or may not have played the way YOU wanted, but they played and won.There wouldn,t be anything of anything would there including life if you think like you do.

The fact is Utd are the team of today and have been over several years! And re-building the team has gone on and on. This seems to be of a non event for Liverpool and thats why they are jealous to death of Utd.

There was a time when supporting your local club was the right thing to do for a number of reasons including supporting the local community. Supporting huge clubs like ManU when you have nothing to do with Manchester is glory hunting. Ronaldo could be classed as a glory hunter as he wants to win at Real Madrid now and has shown no loyalty to ManU.

Football is entertainment and thus is a business. Attracting football fans from outside their own local areas is the way to make more money, and these days that's what its all about.
Man United are not the only club to have benefited from attracting fans worldwide, Liverpool are exactly the same, so are Liverpool fans outside Liverpool gloryhunters?

No you were not the best team in any part in 1999. You didnt win the league to qualify, you also didnt even win your group and werent even best runner up, you had to qualify as the 2nd best runner up in your group and as for the final...well lady luck played her part in that and if you can't see that then specsavers may be needed. But the fact is that your name is on the trophy just like ours is for 2005.

As for Ronaldo....fek him if he wants to leave the best league in the world. You lot will miss him but will also replace him, he has only had one real good season for you. I recall people saying he is a legend at Man Utd....far from it, one good season does not make a legend.

Yes we were the best team as i remember it United didnt lose once in the competition the only team to have this claim, we drew 4 and won 2 in the group stages but the draws were against the tournaments hot favourites in the group of death containing Bayern (eventual finalists) and Barcelona, and the draws were absoloutely thrilling 3-3 and 3-3 Barca, need i go on. Madrid beat us to the 1st runners up as Bayern managed to win against Barca, Madrid were in turn beaten into 2nd by Inter Milan who were in turn beaten convincingly in the quarters by Manchester United. The semi final against Juventus again showed Uniteds pedigree coming back in the dying seconds of the game after a shock early goal from Juve 1st leg then the madness that was the 2nd leg with united going 2 down in ten minutes but eventually overhauling a 3-1 defecit in Italy to win 4-3 on aggregate. Then the final no we didnt play well but deserved it after the 20 goals we scored in the group stages and the quality performances we displayed in the quarters then semi's and call it luck if you like but at that moment in time utd scored late goals for fun ok so maybe not 2 late goals but once the equaliser went in the name was on the trophy. Oh and the previous year we lost the league by a fuckin point lolololol we wernt in fourth then fifth. As for specsavers ive fucked it off as the que is thousands deep wi fuckin scousers. Maybe you should a stayed outta this banter after all my glory hunting freind!!!!

I was merely trying to ascertain whether anything that you said was to be believed, by asking that particular question, you chose not to answer the question therefore I summise, that you couldn't bring yourself to tell the truth so you went off at a a tangent.
I never suggested that if you win something that you didn't deserve to win, that it shouldn't count.

yes.. we was clearly the best team in the tournament in 2007/2008
we neva lost a single game.. and when we did get outplayed... the opposition NEVER had clear cut chances.. that is from the Barca games and the Chelsea 2nd half..

having said that.. no 1 seems to remember a tackle from Carvalho on Ronaldo at the end of the 1st half.. it should have been a red card.. it was studs up and late.. and he connected with Ronaldo..

and yea we got outplayed in the final of 99' but i think did deserve it over the course of the whole tournament.. just remember the inspirational display from Roy Keane in Turin etc...

as a man u fan, i think that was probably the best final ive seen for overall excitement, and yes i was backing liverpool cos if an english team play in europe ill support them, in the end if anyones team win playing well or not they'd take the win
