i know the last big hit was nov 06 but why are there such big gaps, if the keyroll change is au updated now with the new fixs after a few days why doesnt the cable company do what they did last week again and again on a 2 week basis?
Would it cost them to much? is it to hard to do?

I think that Kudelski have effictively acknowledged that the system is broken beyond their ability to fix on anything more than a very temporary basis. Keyroll changes are therefore designed to be more of a hinderance than any serious attempt to kill the hack.
If they can make the hinderance long enough then some people are likely to take out a subscription simply in order to restore their ability to view.
Keyroll changes dont really cost VM anything (except maybe in increased customer support) as its Kudelski's job to handle the security of the system. Only Kudelski are allowed to create Emm's which contain code.
If they've given up then I don't understand why, surely they could keep on rolling out new EMMs which are just different enough which would cause grief for all the fun and atmega card users.
