Binocular Numbers

Binoculars are always marked with two numbers, for example 10x50. This means that the magnification is 10x and the aperture is 50mm.

There is often additional information describing the field of view, for example 80m at 1,000m indicates you’ll be able to see an area 80m across 1,000m away.
 
As my Dad use to say "He's eyes in the back of his head" well front, but facing back then he'd not be looking forward, so not really true that statement but you see were I'm coming from

The countertenor is the rarest of all voice types. The countertenor was not originally an operatic voice type as historically it was the castrati who would sing the female operatic roles in an age when it was not proper for women to sing in the opera.
