The first Mc Donald's drive through window was invented at Sierra Vista AZ near a US military base Fort Huachuca. Soldiers were not allowed to wear their uniforms in stores at the time. In January 1975 The Manager David Rich came up with a solution and put small windows on the restaurant to cater to soldiers in uniform. This was adopted by the restaurant and became the standard.

First commercial hard drive shipped in 1956. A IBM a Model 350 disk storage unit sent to Zellerbach Paper, San Francisco in June 1956 as part of the IBM 305 RAMAC (Random Access Method of Accounting and Control) system. The project was created in and built 1954-1956 a total of 50 discs with a whopping eq 3.75 MB of storage.
