Hi,been losing water for a few months now and have just found the problem after much searching, there is a crack in a plastic pipe which comes out of the thermostat housing (see picture) i am thinking about glueing it and wrapping summat round it for a repair, does anyone know if the plastic pipe part is available to buy seperately or do you have to buy the whole housing??? obviously i would rather replace it but i dont wanna pay £70 for a complete thermostat just because of a crack in a pipe.

hi you could try tiger sealing it but not a garantee to seal 100%
my bet would be to pay the £70 and everything is new and water tight
and i would not advice in trying to seal it ,and go with the new 1
but upto you best of luck

It would be under quite alot of pressure. I would imagine any sealing fix would be short lived. Maybe worth trying scrapyards for a replacement.

That is a separate part mate take it to a Vauxhall dealer spares department it shouldn't be much more than £20.00. Patching up is not a success. Its only the pipe connector that's cracked your thermostat housing should be fine.
