xbox wireless network

hey guys

I currently have my xbox1 wireless wired upto my router from my laptop, its connecting fine and sending files to the xbox ok but quite slow, only 2.5 to 2.6 meg/second which i think i should be getting more? i get 10meg/second when wiredf upto it tho, i use a linksys wrt54g with dd-wrt firmware being used, or is this around the correct speed for wireless?

that's correct for wireless mate - u ain't gonna get much faster on wireless. I used to have my xbox (xbmc) on wireless but found it too slow and went back to wired.

ah well that would explain it,1 it is 54meg wireless tho and a 54meg wireless dongle so surely i should get a little faster?

It's 54Meg "ABIT" not 54 Meg "ABYTE"

You are seeing your speed in bytes - divide it by 8 to get your speed in bits.
