just got the r4 chip and need to put the games on the storage card , but have no idea lol

1) Hardware Installation
Connect the TF card to PC with the card reader, then, go to the “/SYSTEM” directory on the disk.
A) Loading the game kernel: Copy the “_DS_MENU.DAT” at the directory of the simplified game kernel/ traditional game kernel to the root directory of TF card.
B) Loading the media kernel: Copy the “shell” folder and the “_DS_MSHL.NDS” file at the “moonshell” directory to the root directory of TF card.
C) Load the DIY interface: Copy all the folders “_system_” to the root directory of the TF card.

2) Unload TF Card
After finishing ROM added, then right click the removable disk icon on the right down corner of the screen; Draw out the TF card from card reader/writer.

theres no /system folder ?
l havent any ds menu dat ?

and this moonshell dont do anything lol

cheers all

ok do that data thing done :

but now it says the hardware is not compatible ?

idea's please

To play the ROMs all you need to do is search for the _DS_MENU.DAT file on the CD that came with the R4. Copy the file directly onto the memory card and then drag and drop your roms onto the card.

cheers m8 . l have a screen now but it says no sd card inserted ? AND NO GAMES ???

Do you get the menu screen up for the R4 when you start up the DS. Should be a screen with a couple of smilies on?

no get clock and a calender and at the bottom screen theres pictochat and ds download play , when it starts the a spiderman picture

It sounds as if its not picking up the R4. Make sure you have the little microsd card in the R4 cartridge o.k. The moonshell folder is for media playing as explosivo says.

cheers lads sorted it ... thanx alot , that system folder is one l downloaded from another site and it wanted the one from the disc lol ..
