just set up my new belkin g+ router on my laptop and it works fine. its just wenever i open utorrent and start to download. i seem to lose connection all together and have to reset the modem and router. so im not able to download anymore as i keep losing the connection. is there any reason what mite be causing this.?

Could be a number of things, have you allowed uTorrent on the firewall and you may also have to port forward your router to allow uTorrent to work. You never said which model but it will probably be the same as this one, if not just go to portforward home page and pick the proper router.

I had the same problem.
I just lowered Utorrents global connection limit.
Now running at 450 and all is ok.
Every connection is going to be different so i suggest start small and work up till you start getting disconned again then drop back a bit.
As Jaffa said go to portforward.It is a top site with lots of info.
