on my mates dell inspiron 5030 laptop, the wifi /network connection is not working ,
ive tried fn>f2 key, also in device manager i have checked and updated drivers, they seem ok.
in network and internet>network map i can see the error ( THE ADAPTOR IS NOT CONNECTED).is this a driver issue or hardware, any ideas please

a lot of dells also have a hardware switch for the wifi, can you see any additional buttoms on the side of the laptop to turn wifi on

maggott is correct check for hardware switches, also worth checking it has not been dropped which may have dislodged the wifi card slightly from the socket

thanks for the input guys
after checking what you said, with no joy i put the new drivers on only after uninstalling the existing drivers as windows said they were up to date.
this seemed to do the trick as wifi came on straight away,so much for 2min job:Dunce:
cheers
