where to start with a 250? plZ

Hi

Havnt been around in a while and a friend has asked to do a 250 for him, the thing is i dont no where we are at the min with fixs , there seems to be alot of changes and firmwares, Can someone point me in the right direction?? Maybe a few links, that would be really helping me out. Thanks in advance. ;-)

follow the final tut till you have flashed the firmware on, then grab the ambit config tool from here https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/index.php?resources/1884/ use this tool to put on you mac address. you will need a max 232 cable to flash the firmware on. wayneeboy19117 does them for £7 inc postage

Thanks, i already have a max 232 from tmc which i got a while ago, i did have a 250 running untill it got hit and turned into a brick but have since then got a hold of another one, im using a A200 at the min on sigma 128full, Ill take a read at the links guys, thanks

Look at the post in stickies "new way to do 250s" it involves loading surfboard firm into the ram, setting the mac and other settings via max232, then when you restart your own firm is back on it but with different config

Read as much of the thread as you can tho, the commands to stop it from taking VM update are in there.
Basically in NonVol\SNMP you type "max_dl_tries 0" I think

Check it up mate anyway, IMHO one of the best ways to do these.
