Where on here do we get the custom roms

I managed to root my desire and wanted to try a custom rom.

But where do we download them from they are not on here ?

I get my custom roms (Insertcoin) from xda forum, not really noticed any posted on here.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to start a custom rom sub section in the android area?

All the devs are on xda so we'd have to just link to them. don't think they'd like us rehosting their work. Mick if u want a quick go with one or two roms install Rom manager pro as that let's u install and download some roms right from the app. just make sure you do a backup so you can easily restore your phone to its current state. Also, install titanium backup so you can restore your apps on your new Rom

be warned though you can easily waste a day messing about with various roms lol.

I've been getting roms from XDA-Developers since I had my XDAII (around 2005). Get android roms for my Archos there now.

they have sections dedicated to certain devices, so it's easy to go straight to where you need to go for your device.

xda is the best place for roms, good site, all the infos there.
