do you use an intel or athlon processor and why? personally i wouldn't touch intel with a barge pole!

i will always go AMD now m8 firstly the prices are great for AMD processors and do out perform most of the intel chips on bench mark tests, so who wouldnt want to pay less for the best CPU.....

I had an amd k6s 3d processor 500 mhz in one pc and a pentium III 500 mhz in the other.

I found the amd to be the better of the two pc's and when i upgraded i went for the athlon xp.

Pentium....its just a name remeber..

AMD here as well.

much better and faster than the intel hype, people go for intel as they are always on t\/ and people think that amd always crash, i never had a problem with any amd processor ive had in years.

Glad im not one of them people

AMD for me as well never bought a pentium in my life,
I'v had K5 200, K62 300,K62 500 and now I have an athlon 650, all steady as a rock and no burn outs
pentium is dead and buried at the moment on price and performance.
my next upgrade will be next year when the prices tumble and after I offload my present pc.

keep smiling just think of all those poor sods with thier new pc from PC world struggling to get the thing to work.

I run a 1ghz Athlon T-bird overclocked to 1425mhz.

I like AMD CPU's because they are cheaper, generally faster clock for clock and they overclock well.

TD666 the pros go with AMD you will agree.

I had the same kind of question a couple of weeks back if want to look or read up on it here http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/01q4/011031/index.html

I personally prefer Athlons because they clock well. But to be honest my mates got a pentium and when multytasking in windows his doesn't seem to crash as much as mine.Though i think we ask too much of our processors at times.Bye for now and regards Carl!
