Wafer card or PCB card ????

I have just orederd an elvis which should arrive 2moro, i have a spare pcb card at home (a green card with 2 black chips on it)
but i need to know if i will be able to programme this with kevlar ?
my brother also has od at home and he would also like a card, so should i order 2 wafer cards and programme them or just order 1 wafer card to give to him? what is the difference between the 2 cards? and once the cards have have been programmed will he have to keep coming back to me to reprogramme his card or will he just have to enter new codes each month once the card has been programmed, which cards are better to use ?
Once a card has been programmed how long does it last ?

As long as the PCB has the right chips (16f84 and 21c16(i think)) then u can program any OnD hex onto it, but to be honest wafer cards are far more easier in the long run.
