Phone Unlocking w800i - Bluetooth

I bought a w800i off a good friend, he changed the case before he posted it to me as I requested. When I got the phone I found that the bluetooth range seemed to only manage something stupid like 5cm away from the recepient/sender.

I've changed the case myself as well thinking that may have had something to do with it, but nothings changed.

Anyone got any ideas?

p.s. It might be something really simple as I didnt get the documentation with this phone.

make sure power save in the bluetooth menu is set to OFF.
