VU+ Solo Upgrading VU+ Solo

thanks bobby!
Ok so I will go through what I am doing step by step so you might see an error in My procedure!
Download zip to desktop
extract and have E:\vuplus\solo\kernel_cfe_auto.bin on USB only
Boot Box and get solid red light then flashing green light.
Remove usb and reboot with 3 files in E:\vuplus\solo\
Solid Red light and then flashing green light. reboot without USB in
Green light solid Black screen. Waiting
Green light off then back on box reboot back to black screen
Hopefully you might spot an error above
thanks Again

you don't need to keep flashing bootloader

So now you should have a folder in on your PEN drive root like this

vuplus/solo

Copy the following USB Image files from the ZIP/RAR achive to the vuplus/solo folder on your PEN Drive.

boot_cfe_auto.jffs2
kernel_cfe_auto.bin
root_cfe_auto.jffs2

Power Off Solo
Insert USB Pen Drive in the front USB socket.
Power on Solo

The display window will show an orange/red LED constantly lit.
This means it's reading the data from the USB Pen into the buffer.

Then...

The display window will show the orange/red LED flashing.
This means it's now flashing the data to the receiver.

Wait until the LED changes to a Green Flashing LED

When Green LED is flashing you can now safely power off the receiver and remove the USB Pen Drive.

Now Power on and wait for the receiver to boot

So went through above!

the light was solid red for a while but didn't flicker! Went straight to flashing green!
Does this mean it is not completing the flash?!

No Other pen drive!
Did try with external hard disk earlier so ruled out pen!
Have reformatted the pen drive with HP tool but same result!
Will pickup new pen drive tomorrow!
thanks for your help

Update:
Tried with new USB and file extraction with different laptop(No Good)
Hooked up Comms cable to PC & Vu Box and attempted flash with VU+ Utility. error 21 while flashing kernel!
Must be a hardware fault that has come to light with the attempted original flashing!

thanks for all help and advise bobby etc! If anyone has any other suggestion please post!
