TV on the blink

I have an LG 37" full HD TV I was watching TV last night it was all working fine and the screen just went black the sound still there but no picture I tried to change the input and that don't come up either or any menu's so I unplugged it and left it off all night and tried again today and I still have the same problem ???

has anybody suffered with this and can it be fixed ?

sounds like the invertors that control the backlights have packed in m8

could be as simple as replacing a small fuse on the main invertor board, or replace the whole invertor board itself

if the sound is there then its still sort of working, in a darkened room, shine a bright light at the screen, and you should just be able to make out the picture, its just not being lit up from the back

ive had a few given to me like this, also bought one or 2 with this fault
