Turning a PC into a Router

Hi we have have an old PC and would like to turn it into a router, does anybody know how this could be done using linux OS so its more powerful. Also any links yo any websites that explain how to do it

try here www.freesco.org they were a couple of years ago supplying a verion of linux that would run on a floppy and be a hardware fire wall and net server (i think they call router now), i did have a quick look but never followed it through.

i checked the link and its still a valid web addy looks like loads of help advise and a forum too,

let us know how u get on.

try using smoothwall www.smoothwall.org free and lots of help manuals, u only need 200mmx pc 32 meg ram ish acts as firewall and dhcp server excellent for old redundant pc

looks good. seems better than freesco. had alot of trouble with freesco cuz of the network card drivers.
