Hello guys, I am looking to buy a decent tool kit...something like this

Halfords or this B&Q

It is for just day to day DIY ... nothing heavy duty ... fed up of buying cheap stuff that don't last!

anybody with suggestion?

All the Halfords tools I've used have surprised me in how good they are. The chrome vanadium ones I've used have been as good as anything I've come across in 16 years in heavy industry.
I've also found the ALDI chrome vanadium tools to be good quality and very good priced though not generally available in a large kit.

halfords gear is supposed to be one of the best outside of snap on ect, they have different ranges though and the one at £49.00 looks a little cheap. If you access to a costco theres a nice cresent kit in there for around £65.00 plus vat. |

To be honest, I wouldn't expect much at that price in a tool chest. I'd spend a little more on the tools you really need or build a set up over time. I use hand tools day in and day out at work and some of the cheaper stuff I have bought has left me disappointed such as ratchet spanners seizing up or giving up.

I've had a good experience with Bahco stuff. Good quality and affordable.
