TomTom 730 Problem Help Please

hi all man i just treated myself to a tomtom 730 what a treat it is okay the problem is its not keeping its charge its always wanting a charger stuck up its backside its doing my head in.... i can put it on charge for hours then if i turn it on it says full batteries have a little play around with it turn it off put it back on the battries sign comes on saying its dead off it goes. i have tried reseting it with a pin still no joy at all.. problem is i brought it from ebay no warranty trying to reset it did not work do u guys think it could be a software problem? if it is a software problem how do i sort it out ?

could be the battery is knackered so you may need to replace it.
it shouldnt be a software problem
try running battery right down until its absolutely dead (until it no longer fires up at all) then recharge battery for about 12 hours, if it still does not hold its charge then you need a new one

I had the exact same problem with my 920 after about 1 month. This battery was replaced under warranty but I think also there was an internal circuitry fault because I had to return it twice. Google for battery suppliers

yeah dude i think its the battery as its still not holding charge..... anyways i will get a battrey for it mean while how do i get the latest stuff onit like diffrent voices and maps ect ect ?

drag the file into the tomtom when its connected to pc (highlite then and right click then send to tomtom drive)then drag an drop files into the uk map and they should appear in poi list
