Tomtom 7 lag - Axim X51v & WM6.1

Hi all.

First post and already begging for help...

I have just upgraded my Axim X51v to WM 6.1, and my Tomtom version to 7 with v8 maps. Since these updates I have found that Tomtom seems to lag behind my actual position, ie it thinks I am about 300yds back from my real position. This lag starts after a few minutes of navigation.

I am using a SysOn GPS CF plus iii receiver. I have read about problems with this unit and the X51v to do with connection and the axim not seeing the gps, but I've never had that trouble, and it worked perfectly with TT6 and WM5.

I was wondering if anybody had come across this problem before and oversome it, or whether I need to change my GPS receiver.

Can anybody shed any light on this?

Update on above...

It turns out that it isn't Tomtom that's to blame as the lag occurs with other GPS software as well.

Is anyone aware of an issue with my hardware configuration that might cause this problem?
