tm500 super absolute novice needs help

Hi guys,

Please bear with me as I am an absolute novice.

I got a TV/aerial installer to come to my house a year ago to install an aerial as I couldnt get any TV channels.

He siad that due to the location of my house I couldnt get freeview or digital channels and adviced that I should get a technomate box to watch freeview as there was already a satelite dish at the property.

Anyhow to cut a long story short, I paid the money he installed the box, only 10 channels work and 11 months of calling and ringing he still has not returned to fix it.

So I have decided to do it myself, can anyone give me a step by step guide on how to intall tv channels eg channel five or five usa etc.

I have read loads of threads on here but cant find what I am looking for.

Sorry theblueirish but when I said novice I really mean novice, what do you mean by "ftp it to your box"

Just tried those steps, and none of the channels I wanted showed up in the search.

Is there any way of tuning individual channels?

make sure network search is switched on as it will add the txp,s missing from the database,regards mdt

How do I do that? I have actually lost channels now i.e BBC 3 and BBC 4
