Good job you bought the technomate and not a dreambox . There's loads to learn so why rush, do each part bit by bit and you'll learn it all.

what about the cards what can i get with them if i was to programme them and what do i programme them with

Nothing at the moment. There arent any programmable cards that give you more than what the Technomate 1500 can get on its own.

So have you gone to Hispasat to see what channels you clear? Loads of movie chans there at the moment.

m8 if your getting the spice channel you've done it right i've had my box for 2 weeks and still finding channels.

your looking for anything in english if it has the $ sign beside it and you get it then your getting it free.

Just one bit of advice m8 when your checking to see what new channels you have make sure you do it on your own with the doors locked some well one that i found and deleted of the adult channels are men on men and it doesen't look good when your brother in-law walks in just as you turn over PMSFL he thought i'd turned, and the rest will all be locked out tonight child proof, am i the only one this has happened to :Hit:

My son said to me look at all the movie channels we have now, flicking though came across what you was talking about, channel erased straight away. pmsl, its the xy chan your all on about, thats the one you dont want to stumble on . Perhaps thats what dave is looking for : spook : also pink tv on hotbird after 11pm, which has nowt to do with me, lol, be careful tho with the porn it certainly aint soft.

Dave_c you move the dish as far as you would move from due south to get sky, but just in the oposite direction. So it isnt that far but will almost (not quite) look '90degree right angle' if compared to a sky dish. Hope that makes sense> \ l /

noooooooooooooo dont want the xy channel or that pink one after 11 pm .........lol , yer i think i just about got wat ya mean , have got a sky dish up on the roof , will just try to get the bearings from that , so basically looking from behind the dish i have to turn it to left , will give it a try tomorrow , wen my m8 finishes work , just so i got someone to shout at .....lol , was fine on 19 east with taq , watching the normal movie chanels 1,to 10 , and good old fox , only been a few days and missing em already , need my fix before i go mad .....lol

well spent most of the day trying to get my dish to get hispa but no luck , astra and hotbird no probs , was using a spare dish that i got in the garden , found astra then slowly moved the dish and got hotbird , other than that dint get nothing .

looks like im stuck as i am with my h/bird and astra on the fixed dish on front of house for now .

had the reciever on hotbird on 12.306 v 27500 tv slov

Put the preq on tv cabo 12012 v 27500 3/4 and scan

if you press men then ok then ok again end use the right button untill the sat has changed to hispasat you can move the dish to the right by what will look like nearly 90 degrees and you should see the blue and yellow bars on the telly screen when you hit it

i also tried that digi , but knowing me i prob didnt go far enough over with the dish , dont think i went almost 90 deg , more like about half of it

It can be a pain to find manually. Do you have a compass? Find due south, mark the direction. Mark the direction of your hotbird dish, now that angle you need to double and just add a fraction more (just a couple of degrees). Now, go back to your due south line and use that 'double-hotbird' angle but in the other direction to hotbird (ie to the west). That is where you will find hispasat. As for the dish elevation it will be about the same as the sky dishes, so quite flat against wall or fairly vertical, your hotbird dish will be looking higher in the sky.

Now you know roughly where to look its just a matter of very finely moving in that area.
