### The_Don_v2 Feedback!! ###

I am getting a black screen with sound quite often when changing channel. If I flick to another channel and back it sometimes works.

Gonna try re-flashing the image, otherwise I will have to change to another image which is a shame as this one looks good.

That's normally a ucode issue. Swap over to 001a and reboot and it should be alright.

That seems to have fixed it for me to, thanks.

good image, like the new info bar.

The info bar is great.

Ive just received a dreaded 1x sagem

1. Ive removed the modem
2. ive setup as per all of the changes here on this thread

- avia 500
- built in ucode
- set to mgcamd
- set enx tdp to on
- set driver/boot options as per 1st thread

ITS STILL FREEZING and giving me 'error' channel not available.

should i go and buy a signal booster - if so which one?
Is there anything that can be done to the tuner?
Is there any specific chip on the board that could be re-flowed?

Great image, the only problem i had when trying to record using the IFA.
Would only record FTA channels,
Tried all the settings and reflashing with no luck, but as far as i know its only me this has happend to.

Thanks yido,

BUT - - - not died completely, but has frozen a few times while being watched.
I put these settings in @ 7am, and my missus called me @ 2.30 to say it was frozen on bbc1, she did go up and down channels though and it started working again.

Any ideas?

Got a nokia mate,

Tried all the ucodes and no luck, gonna give the new sportster a go on my IDE box and see if this sorts the error

and i cant seem to get the VLC player working

I have done all the settings like I should in the tuts.

On the Dbox remote, press Dbox, Settings, Movieplayer
Set the StreamingServer to On
Configure the IP address to be the IP address of the PC where VLC is running
Configure the port to the port VLC is listening on. Default is 8080
Configure the DVD Drive (CD Drive) of the PC. This is usually D: or Z:
Configure the Directory (VLC) to the folder on your pc which contains movies (ie C:\Movies)
Leave "1000" for the video rate and "192" for the audio rate.
Leave the other settings to default (or change them if you know what you are doing)
Go back and save the settings

I have an old version of vlc, 0.7.2 - but the box just spends forever hanging?

anyone got round this?

so question is has anybody know how to get it working properly?
is it possible to remove it altogether from this image?

@ mr don in the next version may i put forward a suggestion of removing the sleeptimer completly.

this has been talked about and the sleeptimer has been disabled and will only activate once you use it

@ Suggestion Dont Touch it and you will never get a problem with it as its switched to off lol
