A Mother, passing her daughter's bedroom was astonished to see that
everything was in place neat and clean, the bed made and not one thing
lying around. She saw an envelope addressed to her and full of
apprehension, proceeded to open it with trembling hands - it read:

Dear Mum: It is with great sorrow that I am writing to you but I have
eloped with my new boyfriend and did not want a confrontation with you
and Dad. I have found such passion with Mohammed even with all his
piercing, tattoos, beard, motorcycle clothes and difference of
religion. Besides Mum, I am pregnant and Mohammed wants many many
more children. He has a caravan in the woods but don't worry, he has
lots of firewood chopped ready for the winter. He has taught me that
marajuina does not hurt us and in fact is growing some so that we can
trade it with some of his mates for ecstasy and cocaine so you see Mum,
I will be fine. My only worry is that Science will soon find a cure
for Aids and Mohammed will get better but in the meantime Mum don't
worry about me - I am finding myself and one day I will visit you and
Dad when I have my many many children.

Love...........your loving daughter.

P.S. Mum, you will be pleased to know that none of the above is true
- so remember there are worse things than my Report card which is in the
middle of my top drawer. I am next door at Linda's so phone me when
it is safe to come home.
