Ok, got it working now. I put root and dbox2 into the htaccess user and pass boxes, dont know if this made a difference !?!

Wont show front row channels though.

Just tried 0.325b and wont work for me, hangs on zapping channel with ip address and pids......................

Some channels works ie itv1, 2, bbc1 ,2,3,4 But anything other than that I get errors as listed here

Have you tried manually adding the Pid's into the file as I described it when I uploaded the VLC Rape ?

Neutrino has sometimes Issues and you can manually add every Pid for a station into a file and it should work fine then

If you have issues please check the following:



As Neutrino sometimes does not reply correctely to getallpids antwortet can you use the file pidfix.dat to correct this issue. Format is detected pids- gap - changed pids - gap comment (optinal).

Cannot stream from DBOX2 to PC

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me in getting "Live" streaming to work so that I can watch live DBOX2 broadcasts on a PC.

I have tried LIVE streaming via the web interface and all I seem to get is the eggtimer.

With VLCRape:
I keep getting the error in German "can't open box1.tree".
When I look in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\axeman\Application Data\VLCRape, all I have is pidfix.dat and VLCRape.ini. Ther is no box1.tree

I have tried VLCRape versions 0.3.2.5.a, 0.3.2.5b & 0.3.2.6 and get the same error with all versions. The CFG settings in VLCRape are correct. I have also tried VLC 0.7.2 & 0.8.4a & 0.8.5.

With Vlc 0.8.5, VLCRape cannot determine the MD5 value.

I have also tries BitControl and Tuxvision. None of them seem to work for me.

Do any settings need to be changed on the Dbox2?

I CAN however stream from the PC to the Dbox2.

The image that I am using is Cryo Sportster 1.7 UK05 which works fine for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

VLCRape 0.3.2.6 And VLC 0.8.4a,

All FTA channels work fine, channel zapping is a LOT more stable than doing it via yWeb.
No encrypted channels (show as gray screen with no sound) but i think thats been mentioned with the macrovision thing (i dont know how to include the file provided earlier on in this thread).

What would be REALLY nice is having the DBox output in UDP so it would be better on my wireless network or failing that i need to work out a way to get a PC to re-encode the stream. Im having a hunt as i speak so hopefully it wont be too long till i find what im looking for.
