Software Update ?

Hi, got my TM600 today, managed to get a second hand one (he had only had it 1 month) but cant seem to flash a new image on it.

Run and set up TM Command Centre, it goes through the login and box check and says "login successful" then just sits there with sleepy on mouse pointer.

Tried copying image to tmp and updating through software, goes through menus then reboots box but not changed image.

The image thats on the box now is,
Dags inc.
SIF Team
tgs 220
version 193b

Any pointers would be great

To be honest I would flash it via Serial RS232, I find this more reliable.

Or you could try and do a factory reset on the box first then try again.

if i remember there was a problem with the SiF image, that makes it so you can't flash an image over it again, only way to get rid of it once it's on there is with RS232...

the "box" thinks it's a "tgs 220" now so other other images don't love it. if i remember digidude's posts right

the ONLY way is serial update

turn off the power
press and hold UP ^ on the receiver and power on
select scart input on TV
highlight serial update and press ok
fire up technomate control center on computer
connect null modem lead between PC and receiver
in software, browse to your image
press update

wait about 25 mins and itll all be done
