Hi.
newbie here reading all the threads re recovery it seems the only way to do this is via rs232 is there no other way.
the serial port and rs 232 seems to be disappearing from computers so that solution will no longer be available so where from there
Help please as I cannot find old computer although I have had plenty

why you do not buy a converter usb-rs232?

At the moment people bricking the 'F5s' don't seem to be able to recover it, can connect with rs232 cable while F5s is stiil working but stops connecting when bricked if someone has successfully recovered the F5s please let me know how it was achieved.

I have revovered a F5S a couple of months ago,

but with serial usb converter I had no luck,

you do need a pc with real com port win7 is ok, no need for xp.

What is not working for you when you try to recover?

Hi

new here but I have an F5S that had a very dim flashing number 8 and I was trying to flash it but with no luck.
However I put my laptop cable into the power slot on the F5S and it started up fine.
All working now but programmes are all over the place and not too sure which works. I have done the single scan but I have no TP file as yet.
