Hi pilgrims
I've got Sly.
The problem is when it rains the signal disappears.
I didn't bother about it up til last month because I just switched to analogue.
Now they turned off the analogue signal I'm buggered.
Any advice as to whats happening when it rains.

I've got a dish alignment set but haven't used it yet.
All help appreciated

You shouldn't lose signal unless it's a serious rain storm. Assuming you've just got a normal UK Sky setup it sounds like the dish is slightly out of alignment. If that doesn't help, it might be worth investing in a slightly larger dish to cope with the rain fade better, especially if you are in Scotland or Ireland.

Thanks mate
I'm in Essex
I've just put the signal test on screen and the signal strength is about 3quarters along the bar
with the quality at about 65%
I did the test last time it rained and the quality was less than 25%
Shall I do a re-alignment first?

It does sound like the signal is a bit on the low side. Most likely problem is an alignment issue. Other things that can go wrong are the LNB dying or the coax cable is not very good quality or damaged.

If you do decide to tweak the dish yourself, make some marks with tipex or a pencil first so you know where to move the dish back to if things go wrong. It should only need a mm or so left or right or up and down to fine tune it. And be careful if you are doing this up ladders!!
