I got a new diablo cam and set it up as per Cafe.racer tut. Keys from extra cp and fenrir. I still cannot get FireDTV to show the disney channels.:FRIGHT:

When I run the FireDTV support tool, it gives signal strength as 100% (Frequency.: 434000 kHz, Sig.Str.: 100%, BER: 0). Would this interfere with the cam. The cam gets quite hot, is this normal.

Hi,

I just got your PM about keys - I take it you got it working then, i.e. you've got at least one subs channels to clear? I've only ever used the 00 and 01 keys, no need for all the others.

What software are you using, MCE, ProgDVB, myTheatre?

If I'm reading this right you've got some cleared channels, but not the disney channel? Got to be a missing transponder frequency? Are you really that desparate to not miss Lissie McGuire?

Signal strenght is fine - that's what mine is like.

My Diablos get quite warm, not sure how they comapre to other CAMs thought (but I'll check with my zetacam)

I have not manage to get it working on any subs channels. TV is not for me it is for the kiddies. Which keys do you use Rom7 or Rom11.

I am using fireDTV and ProgDVB working with Yankse/Fenrir.

Not sure if it makes any difference, but I know the ones froma ROM11 work.

Rights - it's just occured to me that your problem is almost definitely transponders.

Have you set up a list of the transponders at all? The Support tool says "No Transponder List Found!"

I'm confused as to why you mention fenrir/yankse if you have a CAM?

If the ExtraCP keys are up to date, you need to enter them into a Keys.xml file with the likes of fausto, save it and copy that and a config.xml to the Diablo. I don't know about ProgDVB, but when I did it with DVBViewer (the free Digital Everywhere version) I had to set up a transponder list, then there was one other trick to do with switching something on in the status bar, and that was it.

How do I setup a transponder list. I know how to make the file for firedtv. Isn't the transponder list used to scan transponders for channels.

Like I say, I don't know in ProgDVB, but it's fairly obvious in DVBViewer

this is taken from my progdvb transponder file so the layout is correct, you may need to alter the frequencies etc.

Charlie - have you got five and ITV2? I've noticed that they've vanished since I did a scan the other day.

yeah i got five but never had itv2 or 3 for some reason, I got itv 4 though

Hmm, just been playing. I noticed Five and ITV2 listed as "blocked" in mce2dvbs. In edit channels (MCE) they were listed without channels numbers, did a "Restore Channel Defaults" and they've reappeared.
