Hardware SD Card Help Please

4g SD card less than a week old has anyone had this problem and sorted it out ??

asking to be formatted when I do it comes up with !!!!!! the memory card is wright protected please release the wright protect switch ??
which is in the off position

trolled through the net !!! tried regedit no good !! downloaded SD formatter no good !! plus format from control panel no good

help please driving me nuts that many fixes out there that don't work

I know how you feel m8, get the same here from time to time. I actually wonder sometimes if they see o/s address & do it knowingly :bangshead:

Could be your card reader maybe?

Do other cards have the issue?
Are you able to try in another card reader on another machine?

Does look to be the card itself though, you could RMA it just post with lowest cost and get a receipt that you posted it.

if its a standard sd card , check for a lock on side

dodgy card... was it bought from a known shop seller on amazon or just a random bloke? if a random bloke could be labelled up as a sandisk etc... but actually be one of those funny chinese rip of cards

I got one of those. It was labeled 8GB and it was actually 1GB!!!!!!
ebay horrors....

After that I always get mine from Amazon or play.com

Hi there should be a white switch on the side of the card that puts write protection on/off hopes this helps you
