I reckon it's all based on a dare, not a single bit of it is healthy, well perhaps maybe porridge oats.

Today for my dinner I had a lovelly Black Pudding Supper from the local chippy, delicious and I bought my son a deep fried pizza, lol

Where did we ever get the ideas for this stuff?

no, serious.

There was a place in Glasgow when I was there around new years.

They wrapped it up in the pita, chips and all, battered it and fried it. I had to state I wasnt going to get a mate to buy another. Apparently it had over 5000 calories.

It was ok, but I just ripped it open to get the chips and 'meat' etc.

They are only square so that they can offer more surface area to the lard.

You'll have tried Black Pudding mate, well a butcher just round the corner from me started marinating it in BUCKFAST, it tasted like sweetened black pudding, not much difference really as the cooking process burned off all the alcohol and all that was really left was sugar. They became quite popular and the Daily Record even done a feature on it.

lol

I was listening to Scott Mills on radio one the other day and they said that a donar kebab has the equivalant of a wine glass full of fat and that 2 kebabs a week could kill you. So deep fried would be worse..lol

black pudding...never tried that or white pudding as my m8 used to be a butcher and put me off it before I tried it.

I read that in the Record this week aswell mate, they are by far the worst fast food.

Did you hear the stuff about smoothies? They reckon that a McDonalds DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER is healtheri than most smoothies as there is about 16 teaspoons of sugar in every 500ml bottle, that's amazing.

Black pudding is nice, it's kinda spicy, the trick is to forget what you're actually eating and it'll go down nicely.

I love black pudding, imo there is a difference between english and scottish black pudding though.

I was looking here about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_pudding - nearly every picture on that site is from a scottish fry.

ace.

What do they sell in Blackpool? Thats the only place in England that I've ever eaten Black Pudding, it wasn't very nice but then again not all Scottish Black Puddiings are nice either.

Actually now that I think about it, I once had a black pudding and chips in Newcastle, it was exactly the same as a scottish one.

What I like about going to Scotland is that for breakfast you can get tattie farls or do you call them tattie scones. No disrespect to the English but fried bread is just no substitute, a fried breakfast is not the same without tattie farls or soda bread.

btw kary m8...the Ulster fry is 2nd to none.

I love black pudding, but it depends where it comes from. Some of the stuff you get down here in England is disgusting.

Can you still get deep fried Scotch Pies up north? Haven't had a deep fried one for about 25 years, but I can still remember the warm fat dripping down your chin as you ate them. Lovely!
