replay new firmware

Hi the guy who did the original evaluation in the uk of the replay box, is saying on the forum he inhabits that there is going to be a firmware update very soon. I dont have any details but he did release the other firmwares i.e 738, 740 740a.It will probable with the manufacturer's record only fix AU but hopefully might fix the glitching as well

Hope so I like my replay box but since the 744 image it has been glitcing when recording, lets hope the new imge cures this problem.

I am putting money on it that it will be the same as previous images. all the same probs only we wont have to update the keys manual (hopefully).

You never know though i, along with others may get a sweet surprise. But i wouldnt hold your breath.

If the new release achieves anything, it should be that people should stop slating the developers of this fine piece of kit (pvr version anyhow) and the software that goes with it. and maybe start praising the things.

at least they had the sense to put in the auto update option. unlike some boxes.

by the by while i am on the subject. i had to delete some of the vod "TV Ch" with my pvr because everytime i sorted my auto update and keys. then flicked to "TV Ch" which DIDNT show porn. My box decided to go mental freeze and then reboot, thus loosing all the keys because the auto update automaticly switched on and updated keys.

am i bothered not really. because since joining this forum i have made good friends and learned that this sort of shit goes with the territory. patience is a virtue and all that.

anyhow BIG UP TO THE REPLAY GUYS N GALS you know who you are even if i dont. much appreciation from me to you, and down with the doubters of the box. booooooooooo: shocked2oo!

I think I've done sommit wrong here or the painkillers have taken over, Updated this software using stblink on a Lite box, now the little red l;ight is on and it wont power up or respond to the remote control.

I have done the same - now all I get is a red light and no response.
I also have a replay lite with hard drive and have flashed with replay_lite750

Can anyone confirm this is working on a lite box ? I flashed the kids one last night and their NOT Happy Red light and no response from the remote or Stblink.

I'm surprised (and sorry) that some folk are getting data corruption on upload. It's pretty rare but not unheard of.

Best way to resolve is to clone from a working box (instructions attached)

Alternatively - reload with the earlier 743A (a has the boot loader s/w) and that should kick it back into life.

Hope this helps.

Anyone IN ANY DOUBT about uploading this should wait - as there's lots of people who are very happy - but as it's new - there is always the possibility that there are some minor issues to be resolved (as with all new releases). The more feedback given the faster the response.

To all those who have the glitching issue and who have been complaining about it for over twelve months now (I am thinking of one member in particular). Why the hell do you not get rid of the box and buy a different type and stop moaning. If in your area the box glitches it probably will always glitch, sell it and move on with your life.
