Renault radio code please.

Thank you very much for taking the time to work out this code for me!!
I work on cars for a living and have a calculator for renault radios which comes up with this same code but it doesn't work.
Maybe these calculators have it wrong for this model??? Any ideas??

code given is 100% correct for that serial
on some of these models you have to press and hold the [ ¬ [ button for up to 3 seconds to store the code
if this doesn't work then your radio has probably been recoded and the only way to get code is by reading EEPROM but this is a bit of a specialists job
EDIT : as you work on radios if you know how to read EEPROM, post dump file I can check code

We replaced the clutch in this car and obviously had to disconnect battery so radio code needed to leave things as we found them. Leather folder in car with all the books but no radio code written or printed anywhere.
Car has been owned by this man since new,he says he has never needed code before and radio has never been replaced.
The radio treats the code as incorrect,beeps and displays "CODE" with extended delays between attempts.
Reading the eeprom sounds interesting and thank you for offering to work out the code from its contents, but its not something I have ever done.
Baffled by this one.
