Hi,

I may have a faulty tuner in a clone dm800se, either that or it is not seated correctly. Is it an easy job to remove or reseat the tuner, I do not fancy tugging away at it in the wrong manner and end up pulling/damaging other hardware such as risers etc from the motherboard. It looks as though it is seated in a riser board but I am not 100% sure on that?

When I check the tuner in the Service Searching menu the message is Tuner = Nothing so it is not detecting it.

very easy job mate

also with regards that error my money is on motherboard

although some images/bootloaders give it as well

if you have tried a few & still same think motherboard strikes

very easy job mate...

Care to expand on that, I have removed the top case cover and the two external nuts that tighten up on the LNB input and LNB loopthrough but cannot see how I get it out of the case and away from the motherboard?

It looks as though it is connected to the main board horizontally by means of a riser board but there seems no scope to "toggle" away at it to loosen it?
