Refugees get a £1.25m house..and trash it

Hehe...

"Asylum seekers do not jump the queue for council housing and they cannot choose where they live. The accommodation allocated to them is not paid for by the local council. It is nearly always ‘hard to let’ properties, where other people do not want to live."

(Refugee Council | Home | The facts about asylum)

There have been other ones ones that that on the news recently. One that comes to mind is Moment chef at The Ledbury in Notting Hill tries in vain to defend diners from rioters with a ROLLING PIN | Mail Online. Rioting, smashing up subsidised flat in Kensington...

Maybe instead of sending oil platforms abroad to scrap they could be turned into floating detention centres in the Channel?

Asylum seekers do not come to the UK to claim benefits.??? Most asylum seekers are living in poverty and experience poor health and hunger. Many families are not able to pay for the basics such as clothing, powdered milk and nappies. I think somebody has an awful lot of explaining to do ?. What a load of bollox that Council are talking about. Ffs get a grip man. :arrrr:

Send 'em all up here M8, we'll give 'em a spade and some land to dig, a porta-cabin and a hosepipe...

"It's not the first time homes lived in by benefit claimants have come under the spotlight.
In February it emerged that at least 100 families receiving housing benefit are living in luxury homes on handouts that could fund £1m mortgages.

More than 30 of those families are being given £1,500 a week to live 'swanky' lifestyles - more than three times the national average wage.

Of the 100 families, 60 have their rent paid by the state to the value of £5,000 a month, according to the Department for Work and Pensions.

In 2010 it emerged that a family of Somalian asylum seekers were getting £1.2m a year to live in Kensington, West London - a short walk from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's home in Kensington Palace.

Abdi Nur, 42, an unemployed bus conductor, his wife Sayruq, 40, and their seven children moved to the three-storey home in the fashionable area of the capital after complaining that their previous home had been in a 'poor' part of the city.

In another case last year, a Somalian family moved from a house in Coventry to a £2m property in West Hampstead, north London.

Saeed Khaliiff was given £2,000 a week for the home despite having no links to the area, which has been home to George Michael, Sienna Miller, Jude Law and Helena Bonham Carter.

Meanwhile, Afghan mother of seven Toorpakai Saindi was handed £12,000 in housing benefit a month to be able to live in a £1.2million mansion in Acton, west London as there weren't enough council houses big enough."

What a stroke of luck for this guy thank fook they stopped handing out bus tickets years ago or the poor little tw@ would still be working now. Ffs Open the gates dear Lord I am coming up for some peace and quiet. I hope they are not up there as well or someone will get there arse kicked.

i know one thing they get looked after better than me and i was born here, think i need to dye my skin and speak with a funny voice, could be well off then. :)

I read the Refugee Council page link posted by Spectre, I had never read so much rubbish in my life !!!!
I know not all refugees are scroungers and I believe that some have fled fearing for their lives but lets get real they did not stop at the first safe country as is supposed to be the case. They came here, maybe they did not know about benefits but you can bet they knew they would be treated better here than anywhere else.

Mate benefit is there second language.Who is informing them about all these benefits that they can claim for? I personally would love to meet them and kick the shite out of them. You try it and see how far you get, seriously they will tell you to fook off and get a job. Cameron specialises in that saying. Why doesn't he sort them out?.

Just shown the wife the link Miggy has posted and reading through again noticed a quote from the "refugee" that said "I deserve to live in a nice house and get benefits. In this country it is our right to live here."
This is someone who came here 12 years ago and has not paid a penny into the system........"Deserve and the Right" my blood boils!!!
The sofa they have thrown out is ten times better than the one I am sat on right now !!!

I know Miggy, I am in that situation after working for nearly 40 years.
They get their information and advice from specially set up advice centres specifically for certain nationalities which are usually funded by the Government or the National Lottery Funds.

So either way it is us poor sods that has to foot the bill. :(

so here i am working 40 hrs a week earning less than a grand a month and 3 grand into an overdraft i wish i didnt have scraping to pay my rent on my 1 bedroom flat every month and the council said i earn too much to be entitled to any help but these people can come here and say they deserve to live in a nice house without ever working or paying any tax? they are sticking two fingers up at the rest of us and the government decides it'll only pick on the disabled and force them into work instead. im furious!!!

Just a thought about Advice Centres..........If a White Anglo-Saxon Help Centre was set up would that be racist ?
It's just that there are plenty of Afro-Caribbean, Asian, Somalian, Polish, Chinese, etc, etc Help Centres and none of these are considered racist.
I know this may take the thread to another level but it is part of the cause of some of these cases.

A little off topic but I like a challenge, like flying over the whole area on Google maps to find where that house was :).
