psp slim

hello all, lookin at venturing into the world of psp now. done quite a bit of looking around over last few weeks and am confused (or wary) at where to start.....my story

have 2 psp slims a 3.60 and a 3.72. so far i have been told i need a modded phatt so i can use the battery and memory stick to modd the slims. well, i have got my hands on a phatt but its not modded (2.82) but i have permission to modd it ( as long as i dont brick it ). i believe i need GFA LCS game also to modd the phat and i have that now........ soooo anyone fancy offering some guidance it will be greatly appreciated. thanks for reading and look forward to any replies

just make sure ur copy of gta lcs is version 2.0 and not 2.6

first off you will need to upgrade the PHAT psp to 3.03 and then use the 3.03 downgrader to 1.5
as you already know it requires GTA LCS (unpatched) if it is the patched version you have then it wont work.

follow the read me files that come with them.

then when you have downgraded to 1.5 you will need to upgrade to a custom firmware. like 3.52 M33 : https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/index.php?resources/1659/

now you have your modded PHAT PSP you will need disinter : https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/index.php?resources/2110/
to mod the memory stick and battery so you can do the slim PSP's

go to the bit under the game in ur psp and see wat update version it says

and forget the slims for now

to check what version you of GTA you have put the disc in the PSP and then goto the game menu and look at the update version (on the disc)
if it says 2.0 then it's ok
if it says 2.6 then it is patched and wont work.

i would leave the battery until your ready to use it in the slims.
but you can mod it and return it to normal as you wish.


when your ready to mod the battery

in the pandora installer for 3.xx menu press R+O to write battery serial to file (this backs up your original serial to memory stick)

press O to make the pandora battery.

to return it to normal press R+[] to read it (flashes original serial back to the battery from the backup on the memory card)

You could also downgrade from 3.50 if you have a copy of Lumines.

oh dear....
not sure how easy it will be to find now.
you could always look for Lumines and downgrade from 3.50. there is still a few copys knocking around on ebay.

they are pandora ready, then all you have to do is create the memory stick which you can do on the FAT PSP with mr dudes GUI : https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/index.php?resources/1742/

then using the datel battery and mr dudes installer you can take the FAT PSP down to 1.5
then continue from there.

or better still try and find some 1 with a modded FAT psp

to be honest m8 i would buy a datel battery ,that way u always have it to do others
and you wont having to keep changing ur own battery

tbh im only intending on doin this phatt to get me kids slims done then that will be it, too much on my plate to venture too far along this track. good news is ive rang a friend and hes got the game lumines that hes bringing tomorrow for me. is there a version cut off for this game as in gta

the only one reported not to work (patched) is the jap version which has the markings ULJS-19005 A0 1 on the disck/case
