Psp Bricked

Hi Guys/Gals

My friend gave me his PSP which already had 3.01 on it, however when i tried to install 3.40 on it i just got a blank screen and the green lights comes on.

Does this mean it is bricked? if so any way round without using pandora?

if you get blank screen then green light which then goes off. yes its bricked and need pandora to fix it

try booting the PSP without the memory card to see if it turns on

if it is bricked which it sounds like it is then pandora is the only way.
Pandora = pandora battery and magic memory stick.

you can create both using a PSP which has custom firmware installed.
if you know anybody who has a CFW enabled PSP.

or you can buy a service battery tool and create the memory card using a program like disinter or PSP Grader ....you will need a working PSP or card reader to create the memory stick.

there is loads of info in the stickeys about pandora and PSP Grader.

try booting the PSP without the memory card to see if it turns on

ok heres my situation , young lads psp-1003, did have 4.01 33 if i remember.........used to work perfect......we moved house and psp was on the missing list till we found it while getting xmas decs from attic, anyway long story short is all I get now is green light and black screen, have all the necessaries, cards, reader and pandora battery.........how can i get this baby working again,,HELP...thx in advance

sorry for bumping this post, but being reading and downloaded Total Newbie Installer......

bod sorry not been on al night was busy m8
get this Digital World Cable Satellite Console Forum - Downloads - PSP GRADER 8
then this Digital World Cable Satellite Console Forum - Downloads - sony 5.00

put both on desktop on xp machine
use card reader or other psp and run psp grader
tick format card and left trigeer selected and select drive card is in.
click create pandora stick.
when done put in psp then hold laft trigger button and insert pandora battery
u willget a menu .select flash m33 firmware .

once done gees ashout and will sort card to get u on latest pandora files.

am formatting card with "total newbie", so will be good to go with that in about 5-10 mins,,,,will post back

na no sound, just green light and black screen, been in bubble wrap since last used so dont think its a screen isssue, thx for the reply

u coulkd try grader 8 on windows 7 it worked 3 out of5 time for me.
doesnt always say complete but when tried card it was fine
