psp 2003 on 5.50 gen-d3 to latest firmware

Hi have a psp 2003 on 5.50 gen-d3 and want to update it to the latest firmware have tried to install the firmware from (its been a while)thread 278734 but i get an error saying sorry this program dosnt support your FW(0x05050010) anybody help me out here please

u need to update to sony 6.60 firware 1st m8 before u use prob b 10

1 more ? i got some movie UMD`s but telling me there the wrong region how can i get them to play ?
