PS2 pal or ntsc??

m8 asked if i could download some ps2 games for him, not sure what chip hes got or if it matters but what i would like to know is does it matter if the games are pal or ntsc? ive got the 2 converter programs to change them but if its not needed i might aswell save myself some time

i think some chips let you boot games from other regions.

but if you can get them, go for the pal version. if you download ntsc ones, check and see if they work or not. this will let you know if he can play them. you could also try the converter. but stick to pal games if you can get them.

if you download ntsc ones and they work, they might not play in colour, if they are black and white, he will need to a ps2 rgb scart lead. they are on play.com for about £6-7
