Hello guys,

Having problems connecting to my Dbox2, runnig Win7 64bit, and image on the box, Lakys sylas..

I can ping the box but cant connect through FlashFXP, i have tried user root and pass dbox2.

Any ideas? could it be the OS?

what are you using to connect?

I use Fxp.

Dbox 192.168.254.200 then say the pc card is set to 192.168.254.199

then make sure the speed duplex is set to 10 half.

what steps are you doing?

Hi mate, thanks for the reply,

'm using RJ45 cable, and trying to update service file on the box..

you can definitely ping the box?

put the IP address into an Internet Explorer window - can u access it?

i can ping the box, but tried the ip on IE, it says invalid addy.

this is the set up atm,
box ip 192.168.1.101
pc ip 192.168.1.100

FXP error msg 'connection fsiled (Connection refused)'

Find out what the IP addy of the box is set to in the network settings.

From the remote it's Dbox/Settings/Network

Then open a command window in windows and type a ping command i.e.

ping 192.168.***.*** the* being what ever the IP addy of your box is set to.

You should get 4 replys if the PC is talking to the box.

Let us know that this is ok 1st please and then we can get you further on than that.

use ftp\\192.168.1.101 from ie

also assuming you have a PC IP of 196.168.1.1 and you have set the network settings accordingly on the Dbox and that your PC's Firewall is set to allow IP 192.168.1.101?

i can ping the box ok, i get 4 replys when ping, just tried wsftp too, but the same error. ps also all the firewalls disabled..

ftp\\192.168.1.101 on ie gives me this error 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'

thanks for the help guys, i managed to connect using my other system(xp), all up and running now, thanks for the service file PaphosAL.

Good to know you got there.

But it's interesting that you could not connect using 64bit W7. Will have to give that a try to see what happens. Anyone else tried and had a problem?

it is interesting mate, i still need to find out whats wrong with it, let me know if you can connect using win7 64bit,

The services file was easy, m8- half an hour on a Brute Force Scan. It was the Bouquets that took the time, LOL! I finished off by removing the dross from services, so if you have 'Unsorted' set to be visible, there won't be any!!

Cheers- AL :)

I am using ur Bouquets mate, 'm lucky you live in my area:) thanks again mate
