hey everyone i keep gettin pop ups and want to know what is the best popup blocker??

A lot of sites have either pop ups or pop unders, the likes of google toolbar will stop the normal ones but if it is a real problem and they are consistantly popping up, then there may be maleware or spyware on your system. Try running some adware finders like adaware or spybot to see if it helps.

I use Firefox with the NoScript plugin installed. Yes I know Firefox has its own popup blocker but NoScript takes it to the extra level.

NoScript basically stops everything, all scripting on the webpage and you white list the sites that you want to have "full" access to. (Either perm or temp)

Works well.

Keyscrambler is another useful plugin for Firefox.

i have done all scans and that have you ever heard of stopzilla and if so wots it like??

im using windows vista ultimate and its built in popup blocker plus windows defender. i also use avast anti virus which i find very good. avast is free for 14 months too and when your subby ends just reregister for another 14 months.

Simple answer my friend take up religion. God wont stop the problem but at least he might listen with a symathetic ear.

If u stopped all pop ups quite a lot of websites would stop working. driverguide is a classic example or at least it was last time i visited.

I tried various blockers but have arrived at the point where i only use IE 7 and only visit sites i know not to be full of annoying popups. I avoid warez and porn sites mostly.

Firefox with adblock plus, blocks more than just pop-ups!

I'm sympathetic to the fact that websites generate their money from adverts, but if I'm looking for insurance the last place I'm going to go looking for it is facebook etc...

I use Kaspersky internet security and that gets most pop-ups
