Anyone got or know where these can be downloaded?

I see that the PC World specifications are somewhat sparse:

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/717378

For example, "Built-in Digital TV Tuner YES Enables you to watch Digital TV on your PC by connecting a external aerial socket". Well that's all well and good but a make and model might be nice :(.

It's not my machine and I'm certainly not going to be pulling cards out and Googling for model numbers.

It had been formatted before I got it.

easier way is to search microsoft updates site and do a custom search then update hardware drivers..

firstly, go to control panel, then system and then device manager..

then right click the device and select update driver..

windows will now ask for it to be search online.. click Yes, this time only.. (you need to be connect to Internet)

if the driver is available online then its sorted, otherwise.. nay luck if you have lost the CD.

I dont think its a Philips machine as it would give you the support for it.. at the back of the PC what does it say.. what is the exact model of the PC ???

besides that, it should be a problem, unless the tuner uses a software to run..

see how you get on.

That was the first thing that I done ;).

The give-away was the Philips badge on the front and the Philips BIOS splash screen. The model is on a sticker on the top of the case.

That program couldn't tell me the mainboard chipset but according to some sites it is VIA. I will soon find out when I try to install the drivers.

Here's what I was looking for... Not VIA after all.

My mate has a Phillips Freeline computer... that I often have to Fix. So here is the offical site:

Drivers are in the download section.

Another little tip for Phillips Freeline computers - you can access the hidden Recovery Partition using a tool called 'Find and Mount' -- http://findandmount.com . But its abit more tricky to get usefull info from that partition as it is mainly all compressed. and I havent played with it long enough.

Excellent m8 :). I don't think I found that site searching.

My friend has it back now as I wanted to get it back to him before Xmas but he wanted a few disks from me anyway. So he will be installing some drivers soon.

The recovery partition was gone by the time it got to me.

Cheers and all the best :).
