outlook express freezes

hi all
my mailbox freezes when it starts, did some looking around and tracked it down to the dbx files, removed them and all running ok, but when i tried putting them back in (well the inbox ones) it freezes again, my question is how can i open the files outside of outlook express ??

Can I suggest you unistall Outlook Express and reinstall. You should save your emails and adress book before hand to make sure you don'y loose them though. If you've got out look you can import it all to that and then import it back to OE once you set it up. The good thing about Outlook is that you can save all that stuff in a CSV file, I thinks it's called.

I have taken the dbx files out of ie and it now works fine, the only problem now is readying the file/mails from the dbx file, if i place the file back into oe it then freezes when opened
so what I'm looking for is a program to open it
