All Openbox after the S9 and S10 are clones. Period.
They are based and "copied" from the original manufacturer(s) which are no longer producing other than those still out in the market (of which there are many). The reason why these firmwares work is that they are written specifically for the clone, hence no kill code (if you want to liken it to something take the NDS R4i)
That's nothing to say there is anything wrong with them, and although I've not tried the S123123234342534543534, I just prefer the S9/S10 based on connectivity requirements.
