Old DS lite and TTDS

One off my kids was given and Old DS lite and a TTDS card with a few games on it, I have tried to put some games on it but it locks up will "loading" on the screen when I try one of the new games.

The TTDS is on version 1.17, I believe it is genuine card.

Is it due to the card being older with newer games?

Should I load V1.18 on the card, what would happen if it is a fake?

where did youi find version 1.18?

the latest firmware i can find is an unofficial firmware,
it was released last june, so you will still get problems with newer games.....

trhese cards don't seem to be well supported anymore...

i would back your sd card before starting..... (just incase things go wrong)

I still had a problem with an old game I found, I think I will try and get another micro SD card and try that.

I found v1.18 from DSTTi V1.18 TTmenu Download,DSTT V1.18 Kernel Download-www.ndstt.com

thats for a dstti m8, thats a diffrent card....

back up your sd card, then reformat it,
add the firmware i posted and try a few older games....

I ran the software you linked, from the 4 games I was going to put on only one worked, it did not before the changed firmware.

The 3 games you uploaded a week or two ago do not work, "[Rom loading failed] load rom errcode=-4"

Is it worth replacing the DSTT card?

newer games dont work.
what size sdcard you using?

A 2gig card.

I will look into getting a newer card soon, he is only 6 and will be happy with some of the older games.

If he is OK with the DS (does not brake it), I may get him the DSi with a better card.

if it is only a dslite you are using then i would suggest buying an original r4 card from here.

it is only £2.22 delivered!!!

you can use your existing 2 gig sd card you are using with your tt card...

if you put the latest woods firmware on it, it will play just about all games....

if you are going to buy one, buy the one i have pointed out....

dont buy a fake.......

Well I took your advice and ordered the card, would you belive I found my old DS with an original R4 on the same day it arrive, I have confirmed that both can run Woods V1.22 with some of the latest games.

I thought that too until I used YSMenu on my DSTT
Its regularly updated and supports nearly all new games.

Now I have the DSTT card working with most games, does anyone know if there is anything about to get a N5 working?
